Aprant ODIA Project – A Road Map & Future Direction

APRANT project has been initiated in 2008 with a commitment to develop and promote Odia language on computer and internet. Which in turn can be used to promote Odia School and other educational projects using Odia Language. This is a community project with a self-sustaining model like any other project.

Tools and utilities developed under this project are available either FREE (for personal use only) or at an affordable price. Currently we are focusing on the followings

• Developing various tools and technology to read and write odia on computers and internet .
• Developing various Odia fonts for various application such as publishing, media, designing and for Web.
• Developing various Desktop Word Processor utilites such as Spell checker and Dictionary
• Building a virtual community for development and promotion of languages of Odisha
